If you are an Opera Beta tester, here is a good news for you! Opera team has started working on next major release of Opera web browser Opera 12 codenamed "Wahoo" and a new alpha build 1289 is available for download.
According to Opera team, they were working on improvements in the address field. The main UI related complaint was that Opera didn't show the full address any more, even when there is room for it. That was true; in 11.6x versions the length was limited to around 1/3 of the address field length.
As a result, Opera team has replaced the 3 column solution (icon, URL, title) with 2 columns. The first column contains the icon (no, not favicon yet), and the second column contains the text. This text includes the address, page title, and optional page excerpt (when the row contains information provided by history results).
Opera team has also improved bolding rules, and provided new colors.
For bookmarks fans, Opera team has further adjusted bookmark prioritization when ordering them in the drop down.
Change log:
- Use page title instead of page excerpt for full page search results
- Combine the URL and page content columns in the address field drop-down
- CORE-43506 (POST request for application/x-www-form-urlencoded is always sent as two packets)
- CORE-43829 (Error message when sending mail at centrum.cz)
- DSK-347472 (Opening localhost server using hostname + port number + slash fails)
- DSK-355092 (New Speed Dial dialog address field font size too small)
- DSK-356130 (Crash on starting Opera with a saved session)
- DSK-356621 (Text in Preferences -> Search configuration dialog is misleading)
- DSK-352734 (Mac: Font in new Speed Dial dialog address field cropped at the top and bottom)

Known issues
- Further improvements to contrast and formatting are still being considered
- Favicons are not displayed and there is currently no option to bring them back
- Important parts of URLs can be cut off, if there is not enough space
- Mac: Some font rendering issues, and crashes with Web fonts

@senthil
Proper Bookmark management? I've been an Opera user for years and I believe that its Bookmark management is just fine.
There's nothing really wrong about the Bookmark management.
The only thing that I dislike about Opera is its incompatibility towards some of the sites that I use frequently. That's when I have to break out Chrome (SRWare Iron) or Firefox.

It might actually be the sites not supporting Opera.

@Nikolaj
I stand by what I say. After using Opera for such a long time, it still fails to work at times with simple things like Youtube and Facebook.

don't even know why opera exists? they can work on a windows media-center which will pass through dts-hd master audio other than wasting time on a browser.. .. if you want fast go for chrome, if you want stable go for Firefox, if you want beauty go for ie9 other than that all waste of time including my post... that's just my opinion.; lol ha ha

@senthil, Opera is the best browser for me. With Tab Stacking and Extensions, Opera 11 is best version of Opera yet. You say that go for Chrome, Firefox and IE 9. Opera is the mixture of speed and stability. And you say for beauty go for IE 9. IE 9 is not beautiful comparing to Chrome and Firefox.
IE 9 is a browser made well by Microsoft. It's a 200% improvement over IE 8. But it will go to hell, unfortunately. Windows XP is the largest holder of Computer market share. IE 9 doesn't work on it. IE 9 people say Windows XP cannot do hardware acceleration due to lack of Direct2d and Direct3D 11. Mozilla does partial hardware acceleration and Google has disabled Hardware acceleration for Windows XP systems. Opera, with Opera 11.50 in Opera Labs, can perform full hardware acceleration on Windows XP systems. Opera's software render-er is 2x faster than Mozilla and Google. What will happen when Opera's hardware render-er will be activated.
HECK, Mozilla and Google have also made graphic blocklists but Opera and Microsoft accelerate content without any blocking. Opera 11.50 currently has an acceleration requirement of presence of OpenGL 2.0, but Opera will be making a Direct3D accelerator.
