[Tip] How to Disable New Redesigned Address bar in Opera Browser

Opera team just released a new version of its popular web browser “Opera” which comes with new features and fixes. If you upgraded or installed the new version of Opera browser, you might have immediately noticed the new redesigned address bar which appears in form of a pop-up showing matching websites from your browsing history and search suggestions.

This new enhanced address bar automatically dims (grayed out) the opened web page content and puts focus on the address bar entries. This new address bar UI comes with many other layout changes as well such as website titles are now displayed instead of URLs, website logos/favicons are now also displayed in suggestions.

  1. Hello, Opera just added a ‘feature’ that greys out more than 2 lines when you start to type something on the website. This also includes greying out the browser window behind. I would send you a snap of it but it goes away when the focus changes to something else.

The greyed out mess of more than 2 lines is highly annoying. It just started. Is there anyway to change it back? If there is not, I will probably be changing my browser.

    thank you, Henry
