Disable or Remove Crypto Wallet, Pinboards, My Flow in Opera

If you use Opera web browser and want to get rid of all extra bloatware such as crypto wallet, pinboards and my flow features, this article will help you in turning off these unnecessary features and making Opera a clean and lightweight web browser.

Opera web browser comes with many built-in or native extra features to help users but many users don’t want these extra features. They just want a fast web browser to browse the Internet. Following are a few features which are unnecessary and can be removed from Opera to reduce memory and CPU usage:

What is the Use of Crypto Wallet, Pinboard and My Flow Features in Opera Browser?

Crypto wallet feature lets the users to connect their smartphones with Opera to make online transactions. Opera also allows to add and manage multiple crypto wallets and switch between them using the new Wallet selector feature introduced in Opera 104 and later versions.

Pinboard feature allows users to collect or save screenshots, website links and notes in Opera and share the collection with other users.

My flow feature allows users to create a personalized space to store links, videos, images and notes that they can sync between their computer and mobile phone at the same time.

How to Disable or Remove Crypto Wallet, Pinboard and My Flow in Opera Browser

If you don’t want to use these features, you can safely deactivate and disable them in Opera web browser using following simple steps:

STEP 1. Launch Opera web browser, click on Opera Menu button and then click on Settings option. Alternatively you can directly launch Settings page by pressing Alt+P keys together.

STEP 2. Now click on “Features” tab or section present in left-sidebar.

STEP 3. In right-side pane, scroll down a little and you’ll see dedicated sections to turn on or off all 3 features.

STEP 4. To disable Crypto Wallet feature, set the toggle button given next to “Enable Crypto Wallet” option to OFF.

To disable Pinboards feature, set the toggle button given next to “Enable Pinboards” option to OFF.

To disable My Flow feature, set the toggle button given next to “Enable My Flow” option to OFF.

It’ll immediately deactivate all 3 features in your web browser.

In future, if you decide to restore these features, set the above mentioned toggle options to ON again.

BONUS TIP: Completely Get Rid of Crypto Wallet and Pinboards Feature in Opera

Advanced users can also disable and remove Crypto wallet and Pinboards features permanently and completely from Opera web browser by modifying following hidden secret preferences/flags present on Opera://flags page:

1. Launch Opera web browser and type opera://flags in address bar and press Enter. It’ll open the hidden secret advanced configuration page called “Experiments“.

2. Now click inside “Search flags” text box and type wallet. It’ll show following options in the result:

3. To completely disable Crypto Wallet feature, select “Disabled” from the drop-down box for both the options.

4. Again click inside “Search flags” text box and type pinboard. It’ll show following options in the result:

5. To completely disable Pinboards feature, select “Disabled” from the drop-down box for both the options.

6. Opera will ask you to restart the browser. Click on “Relaunch now” button to restart Opera.

That’s it. You have successfully deactivated Crypto wallet and Pinboards features in your Opera One web browser.

PS: In future, if you decide to restore these features, restore the above mentioned flags to Default or enabled.
