[Tip] New Trick to Access Classic System Properties in Windows 10 Newer Versions
If you are using a new version of Windows 10 operating system such as version 20H2 or later, you might have noticed that almost all shortcuts and hotkeys to launch classic System Properties now open modern About System Settings page.
For example, in older versions of Windows 10, if we pressed the good ol’ WIN+Pause keys together, it used to open classic System Properties window as shown in following screenshot:

But in newer versions of Windows 10, the WIN+Pause keyboard shortcut opens new About System page in Windows 10 Settings (UWP app) as shown in following screenshot:
Similarly, if you open Control Panel using This PC or using Control.exe command and you click on System icon, it also opens new modern System Settings app instead of classic System Properties window.
Microsoft is trying to retire classic System Properties window and will completely replace it with new modern System Settings page, that’s why all shortcuts, menus and hotkeys now redirect to new modern System Settings page.
Earlier we told you about a hidden secret trick to open classic System Properties window right from Control Panel. Actually Microsoft developer team forgot to modify “Open” option’s command action and as a result if you right-click on System icon in Control Panel and select “Open” option, it launches classic System Properties window. New Trick to Always Launch Classic System Properties in Windows 10 Newer Versions:
You just need to open This PC or File Explorer (or Computer) from Desktop or by pressing WIN+E keys together or using explorer.exe command. Now right-click on empty area and select Properties option from context menu.
Congratulations, it’ll open classic System Properties window for you.
