Many times we open multiple tabs in our web browser while searching for something, doing online shopping or reading articles on websites. Sometimes we are required to create and export a list of all URLs of all opened web pages in those tabs. For example, we want to share the websites with others or we want to export and use those URLs in our code, app, etc.

Many people manually copy URL of each tab by using Ctrl+Tab hotkey to go to next tab, then Ctrl+L hotkey to highlight the address bar and then press Ctrl+C hotkey to copy the URL.

By default, Mozilla Firefox doesn’t allow users to copy URLs of multiple tabs but there are workarounds to copy multiple tabs URLs quickly and easily. There might be extensions or add-ons available to copy URLs of tabs in Firefox but in this article, we are going to share two methods to copy URLs of all running tabs in Firefox without using any extra 3rd party extension or plug-in.

Following methods will help you in copying URLs of multiple tabs in Mozilla Firefox web browser:

METHOD 1: Copy Multiple Tabs URLs Using Firefox Bookmark Manager

This is the recommended method which I also personally use whenever I need to copy URLs of multiple tabs in Firefox web browser. We’ll take help of bookmarks to grab a list of all running tabs URLs in Firefox.

STEP 1: When you have opened desired tabs in Firefox, right-click on any tab and click on “Select All Tabs” option present on the context menu. It’ll select all opened tabs in your web browser.

Alternatively, you can press and hold CTRL key on your keyboard and click on desired tabs to select them.

STEP 2: Now again right-click on a selected tab and click on “Bookmark Tabs” option. Firefox will ask for a name and location to save the bookmarks folder. Give any desired name and select “Bookmark Toolbar” option from the Location drop-down box. At last click on Save button.

BONUS TIP: You can skip STEP 1 and 2 by using Ctrl+Shift+D keyboard shortcut to directly bookmark all running tabs in Firefox.

STEP 3: You’ll see a new folder on the Bookmarks toolbar containing all running tabs URLs. If you can’t see the bookmarks toolbar, press Ctrl+Shift+B keys together and it’ll add bookmarks toolbar to Firefox.

PS: You can also press Ctrl+Shift+O keys together to launch Bookmarks Manager if you don’t want to enable bookmarks toolbar.

STEP 4: Now right-click on the new bookmarked folder on bookmarks toolbar and select “Copy” option. It’ll copy URLs of all tabs to clipboard.

Now you can delete the bookmarked folder from Firefox bookmarks toolbar by right-clicking on the folder and selecting “Delete Folder” option.

METHOD 2: Copy Multiple Tabs URLs Using Firefox Homepage Settings

We can also use Firefox Homepage settings page to create a list of URLs of all running tabs in Firefox as shown in following steps:

STEP 1: Open desired tabs in Firefox and open Firefox Settings page by clicking on the main Firefox Menu (3-lines Hamburger menu icon) present at the right-side end of the toolbar and selecting Settings option. Alternatively, you can direct option Settings page using about:preferences command in address bar.

STEP 2: Now click on Home section or tab in left sidebar and in right-side pane, select “Custom URLs” option from the drop-down box given next to Homepage and new windows option.

STEP 3: Now click on “Use Current Pages” button and Firefox will immediately add all tabs URLs to the text box given next to Homepage and new windows option.

PS: After copying URLs, you can press Ctrl+Z keys together inside the text box and Firefox will restore previous homepage URL.

STEP 5: Now you can paste the copied URLs list in Notepad or your desired program using Ctrl+V key combination or using right-click context menu.

PS: The copied URLs are separated with ‘|’ (pipe) symbol. You can replace pipe symbol with comma, white space or any other character using Find and Replace (Ctrl+H) option in your text editing program.
