Recently Microsoft and Dell joined to manufacture PRODUCT (RED) PC containing Windows Vista Ultimate. It was done to help eliminate AIDS in Africa.
When you buy a Dell (PRODUCT) RED PC with Windows Vista Ultimate (PRODUCT) RED, Windows and Dell will jointly contribute $50 to $80, depending on the product, to The Global Fund.
The special thing in this PC is the new customization stuffs. It contains:
- 6 New Wallpapers
- 1 New Dreamscene Video
- 1 New Screensaver
- 2 New Sidebar gadgets

If you want to have those new extras, then download following .ZIP file:
Windows Vista PRODUCT (RED) Suite
Put the Screensaver in “%windir%\System32″ folder and Theme in “%windir%\Resources\Themes” folder. You can install the sidebar gadgets by double-clicking on them. Wallpapers and dreamscene video can be applied by using context menu options.

The theme not working, can u tell how to use the theme….. :

I already put the theme file to “%windir%\Resources\Themes” folder and open the theme from Theme in Personalize, but still not working. Should I used external software?

^^ The theme looks like default Aero theme. Actually it uses the same Aero.msstyles but it changes a few minor things which can’t be noticed easily. Basically it changes a few colors like titlebar, selected items, etc. You’ll hardly notice any changes.

^^ Just type the address in Explorer Addressbar and press Enter. It’ll open the folder.

its not %windir%\System32 or %windir%resunces\themes
try c:\windows\system32 or c:\windows\resounces\themes
VG said:
^^ “%windir%” is a pointer to “Windows” folder. So “C:\Windows” and “%windir%” means same if Windows is installed in C: drive.

Yes you are suppose to see it in a Dell XPS because it is the only type of computer that comes along with (vista)red a partnership of Dell and Microsoft as support to (Product) Red

Dude external software for what? you place the file in the extracted Them folder into %systemroot%\resources\Themes then you open themes from personalize and from the drop-down list choose RED.

^^ Look into a folder which contains .msstyles file. Copy that folder to “Windows\Resources\Themes” folder and then you should be able to apply the theme.
Also make sure you have patched the system with VistaGlazz. Use the correct version of VistaGlazz.
