[Tip] Set Your Favorite Songs as Caller Tunes (Hellotunes) for Free in Airtel Mobile Network

Recently an AskVG reader asked me how to set caller tune in Airtel? Airtel is one of the most popular telecom service providers in India and many people are using Airtel 2G/3G/4G SIM/connections in their mobile phones.

Caller tunes are the songs or music clips which are played by your mobile network when someone tries to call you. Instead of hearing the traditional ring sound, the caller listens your favorite song or music clip.

In Airtel, caller tunes are called Hellotunes. Every telecom network provides this facility and refers caller tunes by a different name such as JioTunes in Jio, etc.

In past activating caller tunes on your mobile number was a paid feature and users had to pay a small fees for activating and enabling caller tunes on their SIM number on monthly basis. The caller tune charges were automatically deducted from recharge amount for prepaid users and were added to monthly bill for postpaid users. The caller tune fees was approx. 30 Rs for all networks.

Now we are going to share a small and useful tip for Airtel users. If you have an Airtel connection in your mobile phone and you want to set a caller tune for your mobile number, you can do it for free. Yes, you read it right.

Airtel allows users to set their favorite songs or other music clips as caller tune for free. How? Here is the answer.

Actually Airtel provides a very popular music app called “Wync Music” which allows users to listen old and new songs as well as download songs for offline use. There are millions of songs available on this app in many languages such as Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, etc.

PS: You can also search for desired song using the Search button and then set it as caller tune using Wync Music app.

How to Deactivate or Disable Caller Tune on Your Airtel Mobile Number?

In future, if you decide to deactivate or disable caller tune on your mobile number, you can dial 155223 number or send STOP to 155223 number and the caller tune service will be immediately deactivated on your mobile number.

PS: I have seen that Airtel automatically activated their default Airtel theme caller tune on several Airtel connections, if you want to get rid of that music, you can follow above mentioned procedure to deactivate/disable caller tune on your mobile number and it’ll bring back classic ring sound on your mobile number.
