[Opera Tip] Enable New Redesigned “Reborn 3” Dropdown Suggestions UI in Address bar

If you use Opera web browser’s public stable version in your computer and you type some letters in the address bar, you get following drop-down list of search suggestions:

This was the classic address bar suggestions UI. Now the newer testing versions of Opera browser come with brand new UI of these drop-down suggestions in address bar as shown in following screenshot:

The new UI is called Reborn 3 (R3) UI and displays suggestions over the page with an overlay mask. Opera dims the page content and puts focus on address bar suggestions list.

Now there might be following 2 types of Opera users:

• Users who are using stable version of Opera browser and want to activate and enable new R3 UI in address bar
• Users who are using testing version of Opera browser and want to deactivate and disable new R3 UI in address bar

This tutorial will help both types of Opera users. In this tutorial, we’ll tell you how to enable or disable new Reborn 3 UI of drop-down suggestions in Opera address bar.

If you want to manually activate or deactivate the new drop-down suggestions UI in address bar in Opera browser, following steps will help you:

1. Launch Opera web browser and type opera://flags in addressbar and press Enter. It’ll open the hidden secret advanced configuration page called “Experiments”.

2. Now click inside “Search flags” text box and type reborn. It’ll show following option in the result:

3. If you want to activate and enable the new Reborn 3 UI for address bar drop-down suggestions list in your browser, select “Enabled” from the drop-down box.

If you want to deactivate and disable the new Reborn 3 UI for address bar drop-down suggestions list in your browser, select “Disabled” from the drop-down box.

4. Opera will ask you to restart the browser. Click on “Relaunch now” button to restart Opera.

That’s it. Depending upon the selection, Opera will enable/disable the new Reborn 3 UI for drop-down suggestions list in address bar.
