[Tip] Enable Unread Email Message Count Icon in Gmail

After sharing Gmail Preview Pane tip, here is another very useful Gmail tip which will please all Gmail users.

Gmail provides a very useful option in its settings which adds unread message counter on Gmail icon shown in tab header of the web browser. If you enable this option, the Gmail icon in browser’s tab bar will start showing number of unread email messages. So if you have multiple tabs opened in your web browser and you are working on a different tab, you can know about new email messages and their number with a quick glance at Gmail icon in the tab header.

Following screenshot shows Gmail icon with unread message count in browser’s tab header:

  2. looks like I just get the one (1) indicator count, (not 2, 3, 4, etc). what is wrong please. Thank You, James Johnson.
