You may also get “Limited Connectivity“, “No Internet Access” or similar error messages while trying to connect to Wi-Fi network or LAN connection. Sometimes you may see yellow triangle with exclamation mark or other symbols on Network icon in Taskbar notification area.
Most of the times such kind of problems and error messages occur due to corrupted TCP/IP settings and resetting TCP/IP settings fixes this issue.
If you are also facing this annoying issue, you can try following steps to fix the issue:
METHOD 1:
1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run following commands one by one:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
netcfg -d
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
2. Restart your computer and after reboot, the problem should be resolved. Now you should be able to get full Internet connectivity without any problem.
METHOD 2:
If the above mentioned method doesn’t work, try to manually assign IP address and DNS server settings for the connection as mentioned in following tutorial:

Hello,
I have been getting different error messages for the past few months now after I have lost Internet connection, and I have did several suggestions I found on Google, but everything that I do is only a temporary fix. I lose Internet connection every single day, and for several times a day.
Below are the messages I see at different times.
“Ethernet doesn’t have a Valid IP Configuration”
“Windows can’t communicate with the device or resource (primary dns server)”
“The default gateway is not available”
My cable modem is new and I own it. I am also connected directly to my cable modem with an Ethernet cable. I am NOT using a wireless router or anything in between. Just my my one computer connected directly to the cable modem. Any ideas what may be causing these issues?
Thank you all very much!

Thanks, VG. I have also tried the “Network Reset” feature, but I still lose connection at times. Nothing I have done has been a permanent fix. I am thinking the issue is with my ISP. Maybe there is something going on on their end.
^^ Yes. It might also be an issue with your ISP.
