METHOD 1: Run Built-in Network Troubleshooter Tool

The first thing you should try is the built-in tool to troubleshoot and fix network issues in Windows. This tool automatically diagnoses and finds the culprit and tries to fix the issue if possible.

To launch the troubleshooter, right-click on Network icon present in Taskbar notification area and select “Troubleshoot problems” option.

It’ll launch the tool. Now wait for a few seconds and the tool will show the problem reason and the result of the diagnosis.

Most of the times this built-in troubleshooting tool fixes the issue.

METHOD 2: Use “Network Reset” Feature (Windows 10 Only)

If you are using Windows 10 operating system, you can give a try to the exclusive “Network Reset” feature which comes built-in. This feature automatically resets network adapters and networking components settings. It first removes all installed network adapters and then reinstalls them. It also sets other networking components back to their original settings.

METHOD 3: Manually Reset TCP/IP Settings

If you are not using Windows 10, you can manually reset network adapters and networking settings using some built-in commands in Command Prompt. We can reset TCP/IP settings using some commands such as netsh, ipconfig, etc in Command Prompt and it’ll fix the issue.

    My win10 HP laptop doesn’t show wifi icon, adapter & Bluetooth toggle swich.
    I have even installed wifi & bluetooth latest drivers from intel.
    Need your help to resolve these issues.

  2. I’ve got a odd issue i would like some direction on.
    when i click on the wireless network icon in the task bar and go to the network i use and click on the status, the media state is blinking or flickering and not steady. it causes serious lags in gaming among other things. any suggestions? using win 7 ultimate connection to xfinitywifi with linksys wireless G network adapter on usb Been wondering if it is somewhere in the configuration of the connection itself or ?
