wow! avast now finally has a brand new re-design!
Guys, if you don't have an anti-virus, go with free avast, because it is very good and in my opinion, is better than AVG, but i'll stay with Kaspersky since im paying for it lol
Felipe
Nice! I'd just like to know if it's better than MSE... I used to be on avast 5, but I changed to MSE. Is avast 6 worth it?

the best A/V ..
- free
- fast
- easy to use
- sandbox
- fast detection
- low memory usage (15~20MB idle)
Uewd
I want to give it a try. Does it conflict with MSE?
VG
^^ You should use any one of them.
@Felipe
If you are satisfied with MSE, keep using it.

Yes, I am a big fan of Avast for last many years. Those were 64 kbps connection days and Digit magazine used to give it on its CD every month, along with the updates.

All I have to say is wow and, for a free software it most definately offers options that would only be in many paid versions ! You will not go wrong with Avast 6 although, that is IMHO and my personal preference ! Cheers mates !

Stopped using Avast years ago as it had terrible trojan detection. Tried 5 and it wasn't much better.
One of the new features Avast 6 boasts about is the auto sandbox of suspicious files but this is pretty much a gimmick since it has to detect a file as suspicious to run it in the sandbox.
Webrep will suffer the same problems as WOT where you get a lot of people who don't actually know what they are doing flagging sites as bad because it did something they didn't like.
Still will download and test it on my laptop.
