[Tip] Show or Hide “Send Feedback” Button in Microsoft Edge Toolbar
Microsoft’s new web browser “Microsoft Edge” (Chromium-based) comes in different versions such as Stable, Beta, Developer and Canary. Stable version is released to public for primary use. It doesn’t contain bugs and issues. On the other hand, Beta, Dev and Canary versions are provided for testing purposes. These versions are under development and testing phase and may contain bugs and issues which are fixed regularly in newer builds. When users test these builds, they provide their feedback to Microsoft about issues and suggestions to make the browser stable and user friendly.
To encourage users to provide feedback and suggestions, Microsoft added a “Send Feedback” button to Microsoft Edge toolbar. By default, this Feedback button is shown in Beta, Developer and Canary versions of Microsoft Edge. The Feedback button is not shown in Stable version.
Following screenshot shows the “Send Feedback” button displaying in Microsoft Edge toolbar:

PS: In older versions of Microsoft Edge browser, a “Smiley” icon was shown as Feedback button in toolbar.
Now there might be 2 types of users:
- Who are using Stable version of Microsoft Edge and want to enable and show “Send Feedback” button in toolbar
- Who are using Beta, Dev or Canary versions of Microsoft Edge and want to disable or hide “Send Feedback” button in toolbar
Microsoft provides a very simple and easy way to show/hide “Send Feedback” button in Microsoft Edge toolbar. You can enable/disable Feedback button using Microsoft Edge settings page.
If you also want to show or hide “Send Feedback” button in Microsoft Edge toolbar, following steps will help you:
1. If you are using a testing version (Beta, Dev or Canary) of Microsoft Edge browser and want to remove “Send Feedback” button from toolbar, just right-click on the button in toolbar and select “Hide from toolbar” option.

It’ll immediately disable the Feedback button from toolbar.
2. Alternatively, you can open Microsoft Edge settings page and turn on or off “Send Feedback” button in toolbar as described in following steps:
Click on Main Menu (3-dots menu) button present at the right-side of the toolbar and select Settings option. Alternatively, you can press ALT+F keys together to show Edge Menu and then press S key to open Settings page. You can also directly open Edge Settings page using edge://settings/ URL in address bar.
Now go to Appearance tab or section and look for “Show feedback button” option.
If you want to show “Send Feedback” button in toolbar, set this option to ON i.e. enabled.
If you want to hide “Send Feedback” button in toolbar, set this option to OFF i.e. disabled.
That’s it. It’ll immediately add or remove “Send Feedback” button in Microsoft Edge toolbar based on your selection.
