[Beta Update] Thunderbird 125 Beta 5 Released with New Supernova UI

UPDATE: The 5th beta build of Thunderbird 125.0 version is available for download and testing. It comes with new Supernova UI elements such as unified toolbar, 3-pane window, new folder pane and message list, etc.

Good news for Mozilla Thunderbird users! Mozilla team has released Thunderbird 125.0b5 (beta) version to public.

The latest beta version comes with new features, fixes and improvements. The main highlight of the latest beta version is the introduction of the upcoming Supernova UI. Thunderbird team is planning to implement a brand new Supernova UI in Thunderbird 115 version which is scheduled to release in July 2023 as mentioned in following article:

What’s New in Thunderbird Latest Beta Version

The new beta version of Thunderbird comes with following changes and updates:

  • OpenPGP Key Manager can now create revocation statements for any secret key
  • “Archived-At” message header field is now displayed as a link, and Message Permalink option is now available in List-Id menu
  • Thunderbird now decodes messages nested in attachments even if “decodeSubMessages” preference is set to “true”
  • Threaded message views now include “New Message” count
  • Improved Cards View UI
  • Various visual and UX fixes and improvements
  • Stability improvements
  • Various bug fixes

  1. I just have been noticing that when I get an email reply from an earlier thread that it gets hidden and I can’t actually tell where the “new” reply is. I can see to the left on my inbox that there is a new unread mail but I don’t know where it is without having to go through multiple emails to find it. I find this a waste of time and not a great feature…thank you for the place to give feedback…Reeves
