Microsoft has released an official desktop wallpaper to celebrate the holidays season. This wallpaper has been released for Windows 11 users but you can use it in any operating system whether it’s Windows 10 or good ol’ Windows XP or Linux. It’s a simple JPG image and can be used in any device. In fact you can use it on your smartphone home screen as well.

Microsoft just announced about the release of a new custom desktop wallpaper created by artist Kervin Brisseaux, a Haitian American creative director who lives in New York City.

Brisseaux created this new abstract artwork to merge with new updated design of Windows 11 operating system. Here is what Brisseaux says about the wallpaper:

What inspires me changes as frequently as the weather, but lately I’ve been inspired by vibrant hues, patterns and designs that play with shapes in both minimal and dense compositions. Thematically, I’ve always been inspired by pop culture and what’s currently playing through my headphones. The composition also creates a surreal landscape, offering a sense of adventure and potential new beginnings on the horizon.
