  1. I knew about this feature when you mentioned it in the other article VG. But thnx to sanjay for extending the tutorial. 🙂

  2. Hum, a bit clicky, clicky all this.
Just create your shortcut, right-click it and choose “pin to startscreen”

  3. I’m very sure that this trick will be incorporated later as a feature for the next update for Windows 8. This slide to shutdown trick will easily avoid accidental shutdowns brought by accidentally clicking a shutdown shortcut tile on a Start Screen. Thanks for giving such useful idea, Sir VG and Sanjay Namdeo!

  4. Hello,VG
Whenever i upgrade to windows 8.1 it says that unable to connect. apx i tried 100 times.
is it due to low internet conn.

  5. so i installed start menu 8, and a link to Games showed up in the new menu, i click on it, and their in the corner is my win index score. yet i click back, and shows only desktop icons. i can’t seem to find the games folder. and i thought the win index score had been taken out. any ideas where it is coming from?

  6. ^^ “Windows Experience Index” functionality is still there, only the option has been removed from the UI.

  7. ^^ It was a mockup image to show what should have been the best place to put shutdown options in Windows 8.

  8. It will be more useful(fun?)….when you make a keyboard shortcut using Autohotkey..
and drop it in startup 🙂
