[Tip] Enable Hidden Secret “Samples” Page in Windows 10 Settings
We know that Windows 10 comes with Settings app which has been developed to replace classic Control Panel program. Settings app can be used to customize and change Windows 10 appearance and functionality.
We have shared a few registry tweaks in past to add/remove pages in Windows 10 Settings which can be found at following links:

Today in this tutorial, we are going to share another small registry tweak to enable a hidden secret page called “Samples” in Windows 10 Settings.
After following this tutorial, you’ll be able to add a new “Samples” icon in the main page of Windows 10 Settings app which contains several toggle buttons (on/off switch), radio buttons, drop-down boxes, sliders and other controls as shown in following screenshot:
You’ll find many interesting options such as FooBar, Deep Link, Page Pin, Dynamic Deep Link, etc present in Samples settings page.
But as the name indicates, Samples page is actually a dummy page. It doesn’t have any functionality. Nothing happens if you turn on/off any option present on Samples page. It seems the Samples page has been implemented by Windows 10 development team to conduct some tests. That’s why this page is hidden by default and not accessible by normal Windows users. Some people may consider this hidden secret “Samples” page as an Easter egg present in Windows 10.

If you want to enable this hidden secret page in Windows 10 settings, following steps will help you:
1. Press “WIN+R” key combination to launch RUN dialog box then type regedit and press Enter. It’ll open Registry Editor.
2. Now go to following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel
3. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD EnableSamplesPage and set its value to 1
That’s it. Open Settings app and you’ll find the extra Samples page visible in the main page.
In future if you decide to remove or hide the Samples page again, delete EnableSamplesPage DWORD from Registry Editor.

It does not seem to work on my french Windows 10 Home (creators update) 🙁
Sorry, finally it worked after re-opening the Settings app ^^’
The “Samples” menu has a heart icon, for me.
Pretty neat, seems to be the developer’s playground for debugging a lot of visual elements at once. Not entirely useful except a few settings for battery notifications and a few minor app settings, but interesting to see!
it’s not working for me
But if it doesn’t do anything, why waste your time turning it on and going through it? Are you really that bored?
^^ It’s fun in revealing a hidden secret Easter egg.
^^^Agreed!
Pretty slick! I hadn’t heard about this before.
Thanks
IT DOES NOT WORK WHY?
Ok nevermind it works but when I click on it, it just disappears for no reason
