Recently I was working on my Windows 11 device and when I opened Google Chrome (latest version 98) to customize a few options, I noticed that Google team automatically enabled the new WebUI Branding on all Chrome built-in pages in my Chrome browser.

The new redesigned UI of Settings and other pages feature a White colored background, new header logo, large fonts and a few minor changes suitable for touch-enabled devices.

Following screenshot shows the new WebUI enabled on Settings page in Google Chrome:

The old UI of these pages didn’t contain White background. Following screenshot shows the old classic UI of Google Chrome Settings page:

Although the new UI looks clean and modern but many Chrome users might not like the new White background and larger fonts.

If you remember, we shared an article last year to manually enable this new WebUI branding update in Google Chrome older versions when it as under testing. You can find the tutorial at following link:

Now it seems Google Developer team has started rolling out the new UI for all Chrome stable users.

Fortunately, the same trick can still be used to disable the new modern UI and enable classic UI in Settings and other pages in Google Chrome newer versions.

If you also want to bring back classic UI in Settings, Add-ons Manager, etc pages in Google Chrome, following steps will help you:

1. Open Google Chrome web browser and type chrome://flags/ in address bar and press Enter. It’ll open the advanced configuration page.

2. Now type branding in the “Search flags” box.

You’ll get following option:
