[Tip] How to Disable Google Account Sign-in Prompt on Websites

Many times when you open a website in your web browser, it displays a prompt or pop-up box asking to sign in using your Google Account. If you want to get rid of these unwanted sign-in request pop-ups, this article will help you in disabling and removing Google Account sign-in prompts on websites.

Following screenshot shows the Google Account sign-in prompt live in action on a 3rd party website:

As you can see the website is showing a pop-up asking to sign into the website using Gmail or Google Account.

If you are not logged in using a Google Account in the web browser, the sign-in prompt changes to “Sign in with Google” and asks to sign in using a Google Account which will be used to sign into the 3rd party website.

These Google Account sign-in prompts are not browser specific. If a website uses code to display the sign-in prompt, it’ll be shown in all web browsers.

If you are annoyed by these unwanted sign-in request prompts and want to get rid of them, here is a good news for you.

These sign-in prompts are shown because of a built-in feature provided by Google. Users can disable these sign-in prompts by turning off a simple option in their Google Account settings page.

If you also want to disable Google Account sign-in prompts on all websites in your web browser, following steps will help you:

1. Open your Google Account settings page using following URL:

If you are not logged in, you’ll need to sign in using your Google Account or Gmail ID.

2. Click on Security tab or section in left-side pane.

3. In right-side pane, scroll down to “Your connections to third-party apps and services” section and click on “See all connections” link.

4. On next page, click on the cog wheel (control) icon given next to “Third-party apps and services” title.

PS: You can skip above mentioned steps and directly open the Google Account sign-in control page using following URL:

5. Now set the toggle option “Google Account sign-in prompts” to OFF.

That’s it. Now you’ll no longer see any Google Account sign-in prompt on any website in your web browser.
