The new Media Player app is a fully featured music library app which allows users to browse and play music files. You can also create and manage multiple playlists quickly and easily. The app automatically detects and adds media files stored in Music and Video folders on user’s PC to its library. You can also manually add extra folders in the app to find more content. 1. So – with the new Groove – will the importing details of all the media files into the libraries, regardless of me wanting the “library’ to include them, , or not ?

    Also – re Notepad –

I use the current version of that program as a basic – safe to use on any file facility –
I used to use it for saving files to read on my elderly ebook reader, but it appeared from the many weird character combinations I was seeing rather than the actual characters in the text, that Microsoft had changed the default file code page Notepad used for saving to .txt files.
While that would have been a minor annoyance – it seems that there is NO option to select any other codepage to be the default, so – at every save I have to set the format to be used for that save action!

Then again from the image of the app – will the new version be able to use links in the supplied data to go to the internet for whatever is set in wait for those using the links within the new APP –

Adding extra access hurdles to Office and MS-365 is annoying enough, but making the basic .txt program so much less secure !

    UNLESS :
Those options are going to include the user having to specifically authorise each:
    Link.
    Site(s) a link points to.
    Pages accessed on that site.
And whatever entries within those pages may be accessed !

My thoughts would be – If there is to be a NEW text file with added facilities – Why not resurrect the Write.exe App for that.

and – while doing that – maybe make the Wordpad App not lose parts of files when the file gets too large for it!
If it is too difficult to fix the App to manage the larger file sizes:
A simple warning message when the data gets to the limits –
That the data to be saved needs to be split into multiple files.

  2. Is there a way to install it on Windows 10? It seems the Microsoft Store lists the old Groove Music as Media Player but the app is the same as before.
