"Omnibar" is an excellent add-on for Mozilla Firefox 3.5 and later which combines address bar and search bar. It helps in simplifying the Firefox interface and also provides more options for better searching.

You can directly search using address bar. You can also use keywords to switch search engines.

It would be a great add-on as searching using the address bar in firefox works, but with single word, it didn't as a single word is treated as a URL.

Omnibar makes life soo easy... i still cant see why Mozilla cannot put this awesome feature onto their Firefox product by default
