One of the most interesting feature in upcoming Mozilla Firefox 3.1 is "Private Browsing" mode. Private browsing mode puts Firefox into a temporary state where no information about the user's browsing session is stored locally.
But Firefox 3.1 is under testing and many people are waiting for its final version. So if you also don't want to use the testing build of 3.1 but want to enjoy the new "Private Browsing" feature in Firefox 3.0, then a new add-on will definitely help you.
"Private Browsing" is a new add-on which can bring the same functionality in Firefox 3.0. Download this add-on using following link:

Once installed, you can start the private browsing mode by going to "Tools -> Private Browsing" or by clicking on its icon in Statusbar. You can also start it by using a keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + P".

It shows following welcome screen:

You can change its preferences from "Tools -> Private Browsing Preferences...":

As you can see, you can:
- Hide its Statusbar icon
- Disable the prompt message when starting private browsing mode
- Set Firefox to automatic start in private browsing mode
- Set the options which should not be stored while running private browsing mode
