Reading List feature allows Chrome users to combine and organize favorite web pages in a single bookmark list to read later. Reading List feature was initially named as “Read Later” at the time of development but later Chrome team renamed it to Reading List.

You can add multiple website pages to Reading List collection and can access them any time you want.

  1. Unfortunately it does not seem possible to disable Reading List in Chrome 95.

I had disabled it in an earlier version, but it’s reappeared in v95.

Hopefully we’ll have a choice in future. IMHO it just gets in the way, a complete waste of time.

  2. Hi, VG.
may you update this article to remove “Add to Reading List” from bookmark button?
i found only these ways in reddit:

    1. use Ctrl + d to bookmark pages.

    2. first enable these flags:
    temporary-unexpire-flags-m94
    temporary-unexpire-flags-m93
after enable these flags and restart chrome, Enable this flag:
    read-later
i like this flag but it needs to enable two flags before.

    3. Enable “side-panel” flag, but it will add new icon to upper right corner of Chrome browser. I don’t like this.

    Thanks.
