We all know that Windows 8 testing builds feature new "Aero Lite" theme and many look like themes have been created for Windows 7:

- Download Windows 8 "Aero Lite with Glass" Theme for Windows 7
- Download Windows 8 Metro Inspired "Aero Lite" Theme for Windows 7
Today we are going to share another cool theme for Windows 7 which is a bit different than the above mentioned themes.
"Windows Metro" is an awesome theme created by "jaycee13" @ DA for Windows 7 which is inspired by Windows 8 Metro style "Aero Lite" theme. It provides Aero glass along with a clean and minimal interface.

You can download the theme using following link:

Awful...

I really hate the Metro UI. The minimize-maximize-close buttons look odd.

^^All I dislike, as you said, are the minimize, maximize, close button set. I also hate the arrow and the start button. At least depicted in Win 8 themes for Win 7. I also hate the arrow and the start button. I like the new login screen though.

wow looks odd but seme elements are nice, thanks for sharing :)

hate is a strong word. I like it for being more creative than the aero basic clones.

Could anybody tell me how to use the explorerframe.dll file?
Could'nt find any instructions on that.

Why do people dislike this? From the screenshots it looks good, clean and minimal. As you said. I maybe won't use this when I get Windows 7, but I'll be sure to at least try it.

anybody tried this? patched it, copied it.. installed it.. still can't get it to work.. the wallpaper's not there, start button, profile pic near the clock, logon screen, everything's not there.. just the arrow.. did i get it wrong?

@Pradeep
Using a custom Start Button means starting a whole other custom built Windows Explorer program. You could use Replacer to replace the explore.exe with a supplied one (if it's not in the archive you downloaded, look around the user's DevArt page) in the WINDOWS folder, although I wouldn't do it in multi-user computers...

|You could try using UxCore instead of patching...
|The WallPaper, you might have to search on your own... Try here (http://www.askvg.com/download-top-10-unofficial-windows-8-wallpapers/)
|The start button should be in an explore.exe file; use Replacer to replace the explorer in the WINDOWS folder...
|The profile picture near the clock is achieved by a program (http://www.askvg.com/get-windows-8-look-like-user-picture-tile-avatar-in-notification-area-of-windows-7/)
|The Logon Screen also has downloaded separately here (http://www.askvg.com/get-windows-8-like-date-and-time-display-on-windows-7-login-screen/)
