  1. If you download and install the fee preview, and when the release of the final version comes out, will the automatic update just install over this preview?

    Thanks

  2. BAHH… M$ can do whatever they like, but i wont use win8 or blue until they cut down this metro cr@p or at least make metro easier to use.

  3. Any pro’s or con’s about installing the preview instead of waiting for the final version?

  4. always getting a 0x80248014 error code when downloading the Windows 8.1 preview in the Windows Store. Please help me :'(( i’ve been for this the whole time.

  5. to Jorge Pros- help microsoft build a better windows . have some of the things we hated about windows 8 fixed at least in part. and you get to play with a shiny brand new os.
cons. windows 8.1 is a little buggy, and could crash or become unstable. and when the final version is released we will have to reinstall some if not all of our apps and maybe even programs.
i have windows 8.1 and for the most part they got it right. except a lot of the setting are still buried, and there is a shutdown bug too. i am also still seeing a mismatch between the windows interface and the metro setup. windows 8.1 still feels like two different O.S’S

  8. For those having problems with windows8.1 Preview and installing it in Virtualbox the solution is issuing the command mention in this thread forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=56196 make sure to change the “vm name” to the name of the virtual machine that you created in virtualbox

  9. Hey Vishal,

I thing installing Preview have nothing with Microsoft software (even you paid for Win8 and have support).

I have waisted my lot of time with Microsoft support after instaling Win8 DP in my computer. They say “They don’t support Developer preview”. #WTS.

Better to stay with Stable or take risk on my own 🙁

  10. Hey VG , did you notice that the gesture for closing apps in 8.1 has changed?? When you drag the metro app to the bottom of the screen , you’ll have to keep the mouse pointer there and wait for 2-3 secs…. After the large thumbnail turns to the metro app’s icon … release the mouse…..App is finally closed (Proof Lies In the Task Manager)

  11. If you can not activate win 8 successful, most likely you don’t have a valid activation code, the only way to get that is to buy one, suggest you searching from google
