We all know that the recently leaked build 7989 of Windows 8 comes with new "Betta Fish" boot screen:

We shared a similar boot screen for Windows 7 users:

But some people complained that it was not animated. So today we are going to share a new boot screen for Windows 7 users which looks very close to Windows 8 boot screen. Oh yeah, its animated as you wanted.
"vNext Boot Screen" has been created by AskVG's DA group member "lysy1993lbn" which brings Windows 8 look-like animated boot screen to Windows 7.
This boot screen pack comes with 3 different boot screens and all are animated:
- 1st boot screen is without "Betta fish" and shows only the circle animation in the middle
- 2nd boot screen comes with "Betta Fish" (The developer warns that it didn't work for him)
- 3rd boot screen is a combination of default boot screen and Windows 8 boot screen
You can enjoy this boot screen using following steps:
1. First download the boot screen pack using following link:
2. Extract the .7z file using 7-Zip. Now run "Windows 7 Boot Updater". Its an excellent software to change Windows 7 boot screen. More info and download link can be found here.
3. Now you can select the boot screen using "File -> Load boot skin..." menu and Apply it.
4. Restart your system and enjoy the boot screen.

^^ bootres.dll file. But its too much complicated to modify it.

Vishal, Can you ask the developer to make a Windows Vista Ultimate X64 version that is applyable through tuneup utilities. PLEASE.... I want that bootscreen

Anyone, is there explaination for my problem. My laptop(win 7 home premium x64) couldnt boot up properly after using that win 7 boot updater with that win 8 bootup screen. I had to do system restore by selecting it from advanced bootup options. Has it happened to anyone else too ? And is the new animated bootup screen safe to use ?

@Addy, sometimes Boot Updater can`t "take ownership" of files and it`s just happened
@Lester.. No, You can`t apply animated BootScreen on Vista
@Yvidhiatama.. Open Boot Updater, click Options and there is list of all files modified by this soft
