  3. hi askvg. encountered a very odd, but big bug people on insiders builds, esp these should know. im running a msi z690 chipset with a 12th gen chip

as we know this a very new platform. and bios updates are important. i decided to update the bios. and when i rebooted. windows 11 home (insiders) was deactivated. i spoke with ms. they logged onto my machine. they could not figure it out. they did contact me the next day. and instead of the usual command shell magic to re activate you.

i was told i had to buy a new copy of win 10 home. and start over again. and NOT go into the insiders lane. and even gave me a lecture about insiders lane is just for developers. and what did i expect?

i know they can be buggy. but ive been in the insiders lane since the start of win10.

now my motherboard. an msi meg unify z690 has a new bios update. but i really dont want to AGAIN pay for a new copy of windows. or worse have to do a new system install. because all is working fine.

i contacted msi. its not just msi , asus too. can i drop from where i am now to the beta lane. and attempt the bios update? been doing this for decades as i work in IT. so ….

  4. nightlight is broken, so is the ability to go to my amd control panel. even thought the latest driver is installed. the glare is driving me nuts!

  5. Hi,
I´ve been told that on 23H2 builds the explorer.exe (File Manager) is now a sort of ¨Modern app¨ just alike Photos, Xbox, etc.
I´d like to know if someone know a working tweak, a working script, in .cmd or .bat to revert the new Explorer to the Old Ribbon Explorer (the one from Windows 10 just to let you understand).
    Why?
Simply: on buiid 10.0.25131 this one sucks, is awful, mouse unfriendly, etc. and I dont wont buy a new gamer laptop with touchscreen just cuz of Win 11, MSFT could forget it.
Tx in advance to anyone that could be on any help without any hard comments.
    Regards.
