[Changelog] What’s New in Windows 10 May 2020 Update (Version 2004)

After releasing Windows 10 November 2019 Update (Version 1909) to public, Microsoft started focusing on the next Windows 10 feature update which was codenamed as 20H1.

Recently Microsoft announced that 20H1 will be called Windows 10 May 2020 Update and it’ll be released to public in late May this year.

Now the new Windows 10 May 2020 Update has been released to public which is the 9th major update released for Windows 10 operating system. It is also referred as 20H1, Build 19041, Version 2004, Windows 10.9 and Windows 10 Service Pack 9 (SP9).

In this article, we’ll list all changes, improvements and new features found in May 2020 Update builds. It’ll help you in understanding what changes and new features have become a part of the new version of Windows 10 operating system.

Windows 10 Build 10.0.18836 Changelog:

Build 18836 was the 1st Insider Preview build of Windows 10 released after 19H1 build. It was released on February 14, 2019. This new build arrived via new “20H1” development branch.

  • Windows Sandbox now supports configuration files. These files allow users to configure some aspects of the sandbox, such as vGPU, networking and shared folders

  • The error dialog of error reporting in Windows Sandbox now includes the error code and a link to the Feedback Hub

  • Windows Home and Pro users without a first party backup solution will now see a friendly reminder to consider setting up a backup option that is included with Windows. If you’d prefer to turn this off, there’s an option to do so in the notification.
