[Tip] How to Show Multiple Clocks in Windows 10 Taskbar

NOTE: Although this tutorial has been written specifically for Windows 10 operating system but it’ll work in previous Windows versions such as Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, etc as well.

By default the system clock present on Windows Taskbar (notification area or system tray) displays the current date and time for your local time zone. For example, if your time zone is set to India (IST), the Taskbar clock will show the date and time as per Indian time zone.

Many times you may want to add other time zones clocks to Windows Taskbar. For example, your relatives, friends or coworkers live in a different time zone/country and you want to know what time is it currently in their time zone. Or you are waiting for an online meeting or event scheduled in different time zone. You may also want to add multiple time zone clocks if you traveling and want to have idea of both time zones.

Although Windows doesn’t allow to show more than 1 clock directly in Taskbar but you can add multiple time zone clocks which can be accessed using clock tool-tip or the fly-out.

Following screenshot shows 2 different time zones displaying in clock tool-tip (when you hover mouse cursor over the clock):

And following screenshot shows 2 different time zone clocks displaying in clock fly-out (when you left-click on clock):

If you also want to add multiple time zone clocks to Windows Taskbar, following steps will help you:

1. Right-click on Taskbar clock and select Adjust date/time option. It’ll open Date & Time customization page in Settings app.

PS: Alternatively, You can also directly launch the Date & Time customization page using “ms-settings:dateandtime” command in RUN dialog box as mentioned here.

2. Now click on “Add clocks for different time zones” link present at the right-side of the page (or at the bottom if window size is small).

It’ll open classic Date and Time configuration window with “Additional Clocks” tab active.

3. Enable “Show this clock” checkbox and select desired time zone from the given drop-down box.

Enter desired display name which you want to set for the selected time zone.

Apply the changes.

That’s it. Windows will immediately start showing the second additional clock in Taskbar clock tool-tip and fly-out.

You can add only 2 additional clock using this trick. Windows doesn’t allow adding more than 2 multiple time zone clocks to Taskbar.

BONUS TIP:

Windows 10 comes bundled with built-in “Alarms & Clock” app which allows you to add multiple time zone clocks. You can also pin them to Start Menu.
