Although Microsoft Edge supports Chrome extensions, there is no way to install and apply Chrome themes in Microsoft Edge. It doesn’t support Chrome themes. If you open Google Chrome Web Store Themes page in Microsoft Edge and try to install and apply any theme, you get an error message as mentioned following:
An error has occurred
There was a problem adding the item to Chrome.
Please refresh the page and try again.

So by default, Microsoft Edge doesn’t allow users to install and use Google Chrome themes.

UPDATE: There is a new working way to install and use Google Chrome themes in Microsoft Edge web browser:
[Tip] New Way to Install and Use Google Chrome Themes in Microsoft Edge
1. Right-click on Microsoft Edge shortcut on Desktop and select Properties option. If Microsoft Edge shortcut is pinned to Taskbar, right-click on it and again right-click on Microsoft Edge option present on the jumplist and select Properties option.
If you launch Microsoft Edge from Start Menu, copy and paste following string in RUN dialog box and press Enter key:
%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
It’ll open Programs folder in File Explorer which contains Microsoft Edge shortcut. Right-click on it and select Properties option.
2. Once you open Microsoft Edge properties box, append following string at the end of the text string present in Target field:
--enable-features=msAllowThemeInstallationFromChromeStore
Remember there must be a blank space between existing text string and the appended string. So the Target field text string will change to following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --enable-features=msAllowThemeInstallationFromChromeStore
3. Apply the changes and launch Microsoft Edge using the shortcut.
4. Now open Google Chrome Web Store Themes page and open any desired theme.
Click on “Add to Chrome” button and the theme will be installed and applied to Microsoft Edge browser without any problem.
NOTE: You can remove installed theme and restore default Microsoft Edge theme by opening Edge Settings, going to Appearance section and clicking on Remove button given next to Custom Theme option in right-side pane.
PS: If you decide to remove Google Chrome themes support from Microsoft Edge, delete the “–enable-features=msAllowThemeInstallationFromChromeStore” string from Target field in Microsoft Edge shortcut’s properties and save the changes.
NOTE: If you are already using another “–disable-features” or “–enable-features” parameter in Microsoft Edge shortcut, following article will help you in using more than one “–disable-features” or “–enable-features” parameter in Edge’s properties:

BONUS TIP:
Testing preview versions of Microsoft Edge such as Developer and Canary builds come with a built-in preference/flag to activate and enable Google Chrome themes support in Microsoft Edge without any need of launching Edge with a command-line parameter.
This feature is not enabled by default. You can enable this feature by setting “Allow installation of external store themes” preference to “Enabled” on Edge://flags page.
Now you can open Google Chrome Web Store Themes page and apply any desired theme to Microsoft Edge browser.
Future versions of Microsoft Edge will come with this preference/flag.
