I use a Samsung Galaxy smartphone for my primary cell phone number and I have put the built-in Weather widget on home screen to get weather updates and information.

Recently I decided to remove the Weather widget from Home Screen. I thought that whenever I’ll need to know the current weather information, I’ll open Weather app and will check the weather information.

I tried to find Weather app in All Apps screen and I was surprised to see that Weather app was not present in App drawer. I was sure that Weather app exists in the phone as whenever we tap on Weather widget on Home Screen, it opens Weather app. I was wondering where is the Weather app?

After a few minutes research, I was able to find the Weather app in my mobile phone. I was able to create a shortcut of Weather app in Apps page so that I can access and open it whenever I want.

If you also use a Samsung Galaxy smartphone and you want to add Weather app icon to main All Apps page to quickly and easily launch Weather app, this tutorial will help you.

Actually Samsung smartphones come with a built-in Weather app but for some unknown reasons, Samsung has decided to keep Weather app hidden from all apps page. The Weather app is only available as a widget for Home Screen by default. But we can force our smartphone to show Weather app in All Apps page so that we can access this native app separately without any need of adding its widget on Home Screen.

Following steps will help you in opening Weather app in Samsung Galaxy smartphones and adding Weather app icon to All Apps page:

STEP 1:

We need to open Weather app Settings to enable an option to show Weather app icon on All Apps screen.

Option 1: Add Weather widget on Home Screen. Now tap on Weather widget and it’ll open Weather app. Now tap on Hamburger (3-lines menu) button and then tap on Settings (cog wheel) icon present at the top-right corner.
