[Tip] Disable “Translate This Page” Feature in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

Recently an AskVG reader asked me how to disable automatic page translation feature in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers?

Actually if you try to open a website in Chrome or Edge browsers and the webpage in not in English or the language which is set as default in your computer system, these browsers offer a pop-up (or bubble) asking to translate the web page in your default language.

A translate icon is shown in the address bar and you receive following pop-up message in Chrome and Edge browsers to translate the page:

Although it’s a good feature but it might annoy you if you don’t want to translate webpages.

Fortunately, both Chrome and Edge browsers allow users to completely disable or turn off this page translate feature. Once you disable the feature, it’ll remove the annoying translate this page pop-up and you’ll never see it again while browsing web pages.

If you also want to get rid of translate this page pop-up as well as feature in Chrome and Edge, following methods will help you:
