Play Hidden Secret Text Adventure Game in Google Search
We all love finding hidden secret stuff in software programs. Many software developers put secret Easter eggs in their software programs for users fun. We have shared lots of such Easter eggs and hidden secret stuff in past and today we are going to share another Easter egg.
Google is known to implement secret games and Easter eggs in its search engine and we have shared lots of Easter eggs present in Google search in past which can be found at following link:

Now a new Easter egg has been found in Google search which allows users to play a text adventure game in their web browsers.
This Easter egg can be revealed in all web browsers. It is not necessary to use Google Chrome web browser as many people claim. You can use any web browser such as Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Windows built-in Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge web browsers, etc to enjoy this hidden secret Easter egg.
This Easter egg is played into Developer Tools window which is intended for website developers.
If you also want to reveal and enjoy this secret Easter egg and game, following steps will help you:
1. First of all open google.com in your web browser. If your web browser is using Google search as default search engine, you don’t need to open google website. You can directly use the address bar to type the words given in next step.
2. Now type text adventure in Google search box and press Enter. You can also type text game in search box. Both will work.
3. Now you’ll need to open Developer tools window. You can press any of following mentioned keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys to launch Developer Tools window:

- F12
- Ctrl+Shift+I
- Ctrl+Shift+J
- Cmd+Option+I (on Mac)
- Cmd+Option+J (on Mac)
Alternatively, you can also open Developer Tools window using menubar or context menu (right-click menu). In some web browsers, it’s listed as “Inspect” option.
4. Once you open Developer Tools, you’ll notice following line:
Would you like to play a game? (yes/no)
Click inside the console and type yes and press Enter key.
That’s it. Now you have successfully revealed the hidden secret Easter egg in Google search. Google will show you following game description:
A strange tingle trickles across your skin. You feel lightheaded and sit down. Feeling better you stand up again and notice your reflection in a window. You are still the same big blue G you’ve always been and you can’t help but smile.
But wait! Where are your friends red o, yellow o, blue g, green l, and the always quirky red e?
You see a statue of a metal man peeking out of a building. A park is just across the street.
Now you can play the text adventure game by typing text inside the console using your keyboard. It provides a list of available commands which are as following:
north, south, east, west, up, down, grab, why, inventory, use, help, exits, map, friends
Enjoy finding all Google letters.
