How to Disable and Remove Tab Groups Feature in Microsoft Edge

If you upgraded or installed new version of Microsoft Edge web browser (version 93 or later), you might have noticed that it comes with a new “Tab Groups” feature which allows users to create separate groups or collections of desired tabs. This feature will help users in organizing and arranging their running tabs easily in different groups. For example, a user can create separate groups for home, office, school, etc and then arrange the webpages tabs in those groups.

This feature was already available in Google Chrome web browser since long time and now the same feature has been implemented in Microsoft Edge web browser.

To use new Tab Groups feature, you just need to right-click on a tab in Microsoft Edge and select “Add to new group” option. Now you can set a name to the new tab group, select desired background color, etc to easily distinguish groups.

Once you create a tab group, you can add other tabs to the same group by right-clicking on the tab and selecting “Add tab to group” option and then select the existing tab group.

  1. It doesn’t come up.
It’s a page full of all sorts of options, but no “Tab groups”.

  2. Confirmed that Tab Groups cannot be disabled in Edge on this date too.

I like the idea of new features and always welcome them.

I just don’t like how Microsoft shoves it in everybody.
