So basically 2 feature updates will be released for Windows 10 every year, one feature update will be released in March/April and the other will be released in September/October. The release timings might change if a release update is not ready for public release due to some known bugs, incomplete features, etc.

  1. Hi VG, any fix on this? About drive name not appear in Explorer, just Local Disk even if we already renamed the disk (USB/External HD).

    answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files-winpc/cant-rename-local-drive-in-file-explorer/c9c9cf9f-6c89-4dff-8397-af83329ceb72?rtAction=1512748336144

  2. ^^ Enable “Show hidden files” option and disable “Hide protected system files” option in Folder Options and make sure no Desktop.ini, autorun.inf, etc file exists in the root of the drive.

  3. Thank you, as i disable “Hide protected system files” it turns out there are Desktop.ini, autorun.inf, lpk.dll, Thumbs, libeay32.dll, ssleay32.dll. Is it safe to delete them?

  4. ^^ Does the drive contain any installed OS or only data backup? If it contains only data, you can safely delete those files.

  5. You forgo to to include: “turn on system restore”. It is always turned off at each feature update.

  6. Hello sir,
I recently fresh installed Windows 10 May 2020 64 bit in my laptop Lenovo V-145(15 AST), I am facing 2 another little problems:
    1. When I press WIN+S i.e. WinKey+S, then sometimes start menu appearing with background black screen, if this problem is related from display driver, then I updated most recent version from Lenovo device manufacturer website in march 2020.
    2. Immersive Search (in center) no longer work in May Update 2020.
Many thanks in advance for reply.

  7. Unfortunately, there is no screenshot upload option available, otherwise I can better report you. Please reply me via email for screenshot of my problem.

  8. ^^ First issue might be a bug as Microsoft has made changes to Cortana search UI. We should wait for some days. May be a future update fix the issue. Many users have reported so many issues in this feature update. Regarding second issue, some people reported me that the registry tweak to bring immersive search UI no longer works.

  9. Hi @VG

A few days ago I installed the latest version of windows 10 21H1, but the 3D Objects folder still appears. Why does that folder still appear when Microsoft through an update made that folder not to appear again in the file explorer?
