[Fix] Bing Homepage Quiz Not Working in My Web Browser

If you use Microsoft’s Bing search engine for searching on Internet, you might be aware of its “Bing Homepage Quiz” feature which is also known by many other names such as “Bing Weekly Quiz”, “Bing Weekly Trends Quiz”, “Bing America Quiz”, etc.

What is Bing Homepage Quiz?

This Quiz feature of Bing search was introduced in 2016 to test your knowledge. It asks the visitor 3 trivia questions about the image which is shown as the background on Bing homepage and changes everyday. It is called image of the day of Bing search.

To access the Quiz feature, you need to find its icon on Bing homepage. Previously a graduation cap icon was shown on the background image on Bing homepage to access the homepage quiz feature. But now the icon has been replaced by a new “Q” icon.

The “Q” icon is not always visible. It’s hidden by default and we need to find it using Hotspot feature of Bing homepage. Just move your mouse cursor over different places on the background image on Bing homepage and the “Q” icon will appear somewhere on the image. It’s called the hotspot feature of Bing homepage.

When you find the “Q” icon, hover mouse cursor over it and Bing will display the homepage quiz fly-out. It shows the first question about the image of the day.

You get 3 options to select as the correct answer. Click on the desired option and Bing will open a new page to show the result. On the next page, Bing shows a button “Next question” to give a chance to answer the second question. Same thing happens again with the second question. All questions are related to each other. After answering all 3 questions, you can click on “Get your score” button to know how many reward points did you earn. You can redeem the points by joining Microsoft Rewards program for free.

  1. 81 E Margaret Ave, I am at an 8o day streak, but the last question on the bing homepage quiz, it will not let me finish ‘if you lost your chainmail loincloth, what should you do?’ the answer is listen to the burning man radio, but it only brings up the answer page, and doesn’t go to saying I got to question number 4, it doesn’t say ‘you got 4 out of 4 {I think, it wouldn’t go beyond the websites bing brings up. This is ridiculous, I do my rewards Microsoft, every day, and once a month sometimes when my streak gets higher, something goes wrong. Do other people experience this, or am I the only one? Why does this happen, I’m sooo frustrated, I am thinking you don’t want me to succeed.

  2. Your answer of 2/16/2019 is no longer valid. Firefox has been updated and the links go to a search on the subject, not to the quiz page.

  3. I can only answer the first question on the daily homepage quiz. When I click my answer in, there isn’t the old “you got it right” thing and no button to go to the next question. This has gone on for about a week.

I want to fix this. Help.

  4. 2021 (Feb. 27): For well over a week now, the Bing daily quiz does not work. When I click on the answer, it goes to a page about that topic but does not advance to the next question nor keep track of points. The quiz works correctly on Chrome but NOT on Safari. I found directions from someone about Chrome, Firefox, and Explorer, but nothing about Safari. Help!
