Download Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Offline ISO Files

If you want to format and clean install Windows operating system in your computer system, you need an offline ISO file (disc image file) of Windows to create an installation media such as bootable USB drive or a DVD.

Once you create installation media, you can boot using it and then you can format existing partitions and perform a fresh installation of Windows in your machine. You can also upgrade your existing Windows version to a new version using the installation media.

Installation media may also come handy if you are facing problems in your computer system and want to repair Windows installed in your device.

  1. My fairly new computer came with windows 10 home pre-installed. If I do a reformat & reinstall I would like it explained how to activate a new windows 10 install using an this method?

  2. ^^ Go to Settings -> Update & Security -> Activation page and tell me what “Activation” section displays?

  3. Vishal: Sorry for delay in responding, just realized you replied to me. As you asked, I looked at: “Windows settings, & Activation”, which says the following. “Windows is activated with a digital license tied to your Microsoft Account” WINVER says I am running “Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.253). I am not having any issues with windows or my 10 month old 8 gen core I-7 SSD equipped Laptop. I believe in the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. My question about activation if I did a clean install was so I could be prepared if I ever did have problems warranting a fresh install. Thanks in advance for your answer Don Brohm

  4. ^^ Since your Windows 10 is activated using digital license tied with your Microsoft Account ID, if you clean install Windows 10 in future, it’ll activate itself automatically as soon as you login using same Microsoft Account ID.

  5. You do not need to repack the iso.
    m.majorgeeks.com/files/details/bootice_64_bit.html

1 Unpack the windows.iso to the usb drive. Just drag and drop. Yes.
2 add the 2 files as suggested.
3 download and install “bootice” a tried an true small util.
A – in bootice make sure the usb is selected.
B – select “process mbr”, then select the bottom option “windows NT 5x/6x, install/config.
C – select “Proces pbr”, then select “BOOTMGR boot record”, click install.

B + C make the usb bootable. that simple.

  6. I have done all the things. It works initially. But after selecting windows 7 ultimate, when i select language English and press ok/submit, IT SAYS ERROR

  7. The download of any Windows 7 ISO only works for retail keys. But who actually bought a full price Windows? Most user either bought it with their PC and others chose the OEM or SB version. Those keys don’t work on Microsoft’s site.

  8. I can’t read or understand windows 10 that’s on my new all in one. I can’t even get notifications for gmail on 10 as your instructions are just plain wrong. same goes for font on tabs, bookmark list and instructions as the font is so small that only you 25 year olds can read.

I want to go back to 7 which I understand can be done. How do I do this as I can’t find the key which came with the computer on 7/25/19. I understand that 7 is already built into this computer.

While I won’t hold my breath, I hope that you will help me out as you have eliminated support.

    Thank you

  9. i tried to restore my acer now all i get is f12 screen tells me i have error don’t have disc. Will not go to home screen to do anything
