If you use the Microsoft Outlook program to access your email account and send/receive email messages, you might be aware of the fact that Outlook stores user’s online mailbox data in OST file format in the local system. OST file contains users’ mailbox data such as email, calendars, contacts, attachments, personal folders, notes etc. to provide offline use feature which allows users to access Outlook and check the stored messages without any need of Internet connection.

The OST file is associated with the Outlook user’s profile where it was created and can’t be used with other Outlook profiles. Sometimes the user might want to create a new Outlook profile and want to restore the mailbox data in the new profile.
