1. Open WhatsApp and tap on Contacts icon.

2. On Contacts screen, you’ll see an option to message yourself. It’ll contain your name or mobile number and (You) label along with your profile picture.

3. Tap on it and start using the feature just like you message to other contacts.

Use 1: Store Important Chat Messages to Read Later

First and the most important use of Message Yourself feature is to keep important chat messages in one single place. If you come across any important or interesting message in a group or community and you are afraid that the message will disappear, you can forward the message to yourself.

Once the message is forwarded, you can check and read the message any time using the “You” contact which is created when you use the Message Yourself feature.

Using this trick, you can store important messages in a single place or keep a message to read later if you are in hurry.

Use 2: Keep Important Notes and Store To Do Things List

This is another excellent use of Message Yourself feature in WhatsApp. You can open Message Yourself feature and can type and send important notes to remember them in future.

You can use it as an organizer and can maintain a list of things to do.
