Its quite surprising that Yahoo! has shut down its social network service “Mash” on September 29.

“Mash” was a new beta service from Yahoo! which was started nearly one year back in September 2007.

It was a social network service similar to Orkut, Facebook, etc. It had a very interesting feature which allowed a user to edit other users’ profile page. But there was an option available to turn this feature off.

Actually “Mash” was an attempt from Yahoo! to compete with Facebook after the merger failed.

Since the service has been shutdown by Yahoo!, I’m closing the invitation topic.
