XPize is a utility program for Windows XP (32-bit only) and Windows Server 2003 (32-bit only) that replaces most of the bits in Windows that didn't match XP's style with bits that do.
It gets rid of all the non-XP stuff in Windows XP such as the 9x-style Offline Folders icon, etc. It also includes a few Visual Styles that suit Windows XP better than Luna.
XPize does not replace any files, system or otherwise. Instead it "patches" the files by replacing the old resources inside the files.
XPize 5 is the first XPize version with full SP3 compatibility. It only supports SP3.
This beta is the first (almost) feature complete release that includes almost everything XPize 4.7 does with a few notable exceptions.
NOTE: XPize 5 Beta 2 doesn't provide Uninstallation support, so make sure to create a System Restore point before installing it.

Is this something like a bricopack ?
Mark
VG, can you tell me if the final version will have an uninstalation option? I am very interested to try out this promising-looking software, but I won't if there's no uninstalling of it...
VG
^^ of course. There would definitely an uninstallation option in final release. But you can create System Restore point before installing this Beta version, so that if you don't like it, you can restore your system.
Mark
Okay, thanks mate
Mark
Hey, one more question if that's okay VG
I heard that SP3 is going to become compulsary for XP. Is that true? And if so, when will the change be implemented? Because I had some issues with SP3 and had to uninstall it soon afterwards. Hope it will work okay this time...
VG
^^ Nope. It'll never become compulsory. Its your choice to install it or not. But its always advisable to use latest service pack.

Mark
