One question: Are you sure it's safe to use on win 7? because as it looks lie made for XP and vista, might mess it up no?

Robero: Mucho gracias for your effort. My Win98 system is my hobby system, I like squeezing as much life out of it as I can. My regular system is WIN/XP home and I guess some day it will become my hobby system. Anyway, thanks for your help.

ps: my 10 year old adopted Panamanian daughter thinks I'm nuts playing around with Win98 System, She has a WIN7 system, a Netbook that she runs everything on!!! Out with the old, in with the new.

^^ patrick : Did some more surfing to see if I could help you further on your Plug In problem. Apparently this is one of many errors you could get from using Win 98 and others. Reason being no more support from Microsoft (End of Life)therefore you are missing some updates which you can not get because Microsoft no longer offers updates for your Win 98 operating system ! Sorry,it looks like I hit a dead end and can not help you further. Without the Microsoft updates I do not think it is a go for X-Setup Pro? Cheers Mate:

That post wasn't meant to be derogatory to VG. It was really meant for the authors of the program as I am sure that VG was just using what was given to him. I have visited this board many time and have gotten many good programs and I really do appreciate what VG has done. I hope VG didn't take my previous comment as being directed to him, if he has, I am truly sorry. VG keep up the good work.

That being said,keep in mind that all askVG readers are here as guests and everything offered by VG are free. All of this is done on his valuable time and he asks nothing of us in return ! One thing he may ask though is we conduct ourselves appropriately. As I have said many times VG offers much more than any site I know of. Many of which a cost is involved in many areas that VG offers for free. In the future think before you post and give VG a break.Did you ever think that you could have a problem with your Win 98 and if not the onus should not be put on VG because of an error ! He himself has the same information as do we.Keep that in mind. Cheers mate:

Sorry guys but I have neither Windows 98 nor Windows 7 64-bit installed in my system so can't check and confirm.
