thanx 2 u ... i changed multiprocessor free 2 multiprocessor checked & could install sp3 ... bt after restart, it just went into loop restart ... so in the end had 2 remove sp3 from safe mode ...

any way 2 install sp3 smoothly ie without loop restarts ...

i tried ur way...it works....after installation i didnt restart my pc....also i changed registry value to previous value......after restart a loop starts....n computer restart again.....u have the solution vj??

i also tried with changed value but computer restart again....plz give me the solutio....

I tried the fix to install SP3, it got me past that first error message, but half way through the install, I received this error message

Setup cannot copy file sqlse.dll. Ensure that the location specified below is correct, or change it and insert "Windows XP Service Pack 3 source files" in the drive you specify.
Copy files from:c:\windows\softwaredistribution\download\16b2c96a0c41f4dfdb4d3cc228a4f819

what does all that mean? and how can I fix it?
