I had tried the Microsoft "Fix It" and assumed that their 'fix-it' did the same thing as your registry permission batch file, but apparenlty that is not the case, since the Microsoft fix did not work, and yours most certainly did. I was minutes away from re-formatting the machine, and all the problems that entails. I am very impressed and grateful! Fabulous solution!
