After announcing the public release of Windows 7 RC build, Microsoft has released the much awaited "Windows XP Mode" to public.
If you don't know about "Windows XP Mode", here is what "Windows 7 Team Blog" says:
Windows XP Mode is specifically designed to help small businesses move to Windows 7. Windows XP Mode provides you with the flexibility to run many older productivity applications on a Windows 7 based PC.
All you need to do is to install suitable applications directly in Windows XP Mode which is a virtual Windows XP environment running under Windows Virtual PC. The applications will be published to the Windows 7 desktop and then you can run them directly from Windows 7.

VG i have a question. I try to use vista ultimate last year and my pc can't handle it. I have P4 2.26ghz processor, 1.5gb ram and 256mb nvidia geforce fx5500. The worst of all is i can't use the latest driver of my video card for xp in vista. Actually there is a video card driver for vista but it is outdated and running all games makes super low fps.
I have read your latest articles about windows 7 rc. My question is..., Can I use Windows 7 based on my pc strength i mentioned earlier? I also believe that windows 7 is faster. and the last is can i use the video card driver for xp in windows 7's xp mode? Sorry if my post is off topic.

Hey VG !
For System Requirements.....
How To Check That I Have
"DirectX 9 graphics device with Windows Display Driver Model 1.0 or higher driver"
Or Not ?
Rest All The Requirements Are Fulfilled Except This One...How Do I Check That Which Display Driver I Have?
VG
^^ It can be known from the manufacturer website. Don't worry, even if you don't have the graphics card, you can install Windows 7 but it'll not provide Aero interface.
@Arvin V. Malabanan
You can't install XP drivers using Windows XP mode in 7. If your card manufacturer releases Windows 7 drivers, then you'll have no problem. You'll need to wait for the final release of Windows 7.

Thanks for the answer VG! I try to search some answers too but i think my graphics card is useless in aero. NVIDIA said my graphics card is not suitable for aero so the driver they provided for vista is outdated. I conclude that probably they will not release a driver of it in 7 too. Maybe i'll just enjoy using windows XP for the moment until i buy a more powerful machine. You're Windows 7 theme black edition is the best!

acording to my research most of the cards bought after 2004 can render aero but ms and the manafacturers does not allow that

what if i have a 64-bit capable processor then i have installed a 64-bit OS like win7.
can i still run xp applications w/c i am currently using (32-bit)
does using 64-bit OS platform means that i should only use 64-bit applications and
does it mean that i can't run a 32-bit app??
im just confused. ^^
bcoz some says if u have a good processor u shud use a 64-bit.
but some says that 64-bit is not as capable as 32-bit. bcoz some programs doesn't work??
what shud i use then?
im using intel core 2 duo 2GB of RAM.
VG
^^ You can run both 32-bit and 64-bit apps in a 64-bit OS.
