I used my computer mainly for movie making. I am truely sorry I up grade to Windows 7 because Windows Movie Maker 6.1 is gone. The Windows Live Movie Maker is the pit. Absolutely not user friendly and lack of features.....I deleted it. Got Windows Movie Maker 2.6 download.....the feature "effect" is missing.

I am at my wits end after tried all the movie makers in the market is simply for making slide shows, no better than Windows Live Movie Maker

I had managed to get the Windows Movie Maker 6.1 from Windows old. but now it cannot import any media e.g. photos, video, and music.

I am going to switch back to Windows Vista Ultimate now.

If you have any suggestion, I appreciate if you would drop me a line, before I reinstall Windows Vista Ultimate.

^^ All links are working fine here.

@MAGNUMHEART
Open regedit and goto:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

In right-side pane, you can check the build number in "BuildLabEx".

A nice upgrade from the original movie maker. As clumsy as it was, I enjoyed using the old movie maker. It was so simple. The time-line was missing from the original release of the new version and I am really glad they decided to add that feature
