Yes, you can either download it by itself, or download windows essentials- (which includes movie maker, photo gallery, one drive, live writer, live mail) on the Microsoft website. Just google windows essentials.
If you want to download it by itself, here’s the link:

  2. Is there a patch to fix movie maker. My operating system is Windows 8.1 and I have windows essentials 2012 installed. Every time I try to use movie maker it comes back with a message that movie maker has stopped working then shuts down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled windows essentials, but this does not fix the problem. If there is no fix, can you recommend a free download for a movie maker that will work without any hassles.

  3. Hello! I read many comments saying “Can Movie Maker be installed in Win 8.1?”
    Well,yes! Here’s the Link –

    Welcome 🙂

  4. We bought a Windows 8.1 on our new computer several years ago. I made and burned to disks several “movies”. when we updated to Windows 10, I can no longer burn to disks. What do I need to do and what is the cost of this program which we bought and we enjoyed and why do I need to buy it again?
