Microsoft has released final version of the much awaited "Windows Live Movie Maker" which is a free video editing software. The new final version comes with lots of new transitions effects and ribboned interface which was introduced in Office 2007.
With Windows Live Movie Maker, you can quickly turn your photos and videos into polished movies. Add special effects, transitions, sound, and captions to help tell your story. And sharing with friends and family is easy—whether on the web, a computer, TV, mobile device, or a DVD.

Windows Live Movie Maker only supports Windows Vista and 7. Windows XP is not supported.

A nice upgrade from the original movie maker. As clumsy as it was, I enjoyed using the old movie maker. It was so simple. The time-line was missing from the original release of the new version and I am really glad they decided to add that feature

I used my computer mainly for movie making. I am truely sorry I up grade to Windows 7 because Windows Movie Maker 6.1 is gone. The Windows Live Movie Maker is the pit. Absolutely not user friendly and lack of features.....I deleted it. Got Windows Movie Maker 2.6 download.....the feature "effect" is missing.
I am at my wits end after tried all the movie makers in the market is simply for making slide shows, no better than Windows Live Movie Maker
I had managed to get the Windows Movie Maker 6.1 from Windows old. but now it cannot import any media e.g. photos, video, and music.
I am going to switch back to Windows Vista Ultimate now.
If you have any suggestion, I appreciate if you would drop me a line, before I reinstall Windows Vista Ultimate.
