Windows Live Messenger Turns 10, Download Free Gift Pack from WLM Team

The most famous Instant Messenger "Windows Live Messenger (WLM)" has turned 10 on July 22, 2009. Windows Live team made the announcement at official Windows Live Blog:

Ten years ago tomorrow, Microsoft launched one of its most innovative communication services – Windows Live Messenger (then known as MSN Messenger). Throughout its many stages of evolution over the years, Windows Live Messenger – with 330 million users – has become the most widely used free instant messaging service in the world.

The Windows Live team has also released a FREE gift pack for WLM users which includes free winks, emoticons and much more stuff.

Windows Live messenger is a bandwidth eater.
even after you disable all the ads using various patches, it still keeps sending lot data to and fro (compared to Yahoo messeneger.) hence i stoppd using it.
my experience
after disabling ads: 1 hour chat
1. Yahoo messeneger = 3-4MB
2. Live messenger = 16 MB!

I've question for ya..........i got a computer(OS- Win XP) from my uncle but he forgot to give me the pass....any time i log on my this computer i have to log on using the Guest Acc........now my uncle works abroad and i can't ask him the pass.......any suggestions to regian it

Ive installed this, and from the time i installed this, messenger keeps freezing whenever i press the 'background' or 'winks' buttons when i am in a chat window.

is there a way i can uninstall this 'addon' or stop this from occuring?
