
Windows 7 RTM (Released To Manufacturing) is now available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers as announced earlier by Microsoft.
If you are a TechNet or MSDN subscriber, log into your account and start downloading Windows 7 RTM.

If you are not a subscriber, you'll need to wait for some time. Microsoft will release Windows 7 RTM to market on October 22nd.

To clear everyone's confusion! RTM is the final version and will not be released for free to public. Beta and RC builds were released to public for testing purposes. Now if you want to use Windows 7 RTM, you'll need to purchase it once it becomes available in market on October 22nd.
MSDN and TechNet are programs running by Microsoft and you need to purchase the subscription.

Hi.. first of all i love your blog its awesome.. well i have a subscription with MSDN and i downloaded Windows 7, i got the key from it.. now i have this question that will my Windows 7 expire like other rc's on june 2010 as said? please reply soon!

^^ if you downloaded and installed the RC version, it'll definitely expire. You can download the RTM version and upgrade to it.

I am sorry i am a total beginner & i don't have much idea... how do i know whether the WINDOWS 7 version is an RC or RTM under MSDN, because as shown in the above screenshot it is not mentioned anywhere that its RC or RTM version ..waiting for your reply ..

^^ If its RTM, you'll not see any watermark on Desktop like Windows 7 build 7100. Also you can type "winver" in RUN and press Enter. It'll show the details.
