WHAT???

We're not even allowed to rightclick the desktop, though we could go to File-New-Shortcut.

And yes, you're right, CS. After I told a techie about the network cutoff switch on the laptops rpeventing security restrictiions from being implemented, he added some black CMD box at each logon to stop that.

With us, we weren't even told about the No USB program thing until everyone did it... lame.

WHAT???

We can't even right click our desktop. It's been disabled.

With us, the guys told us not to run USB programs AFTER it was done. So sneaky.

Anyways, the gang was let off with a warning and a month suspension from the internet.

And CS, you're right. After I told the IT geek about a security flaw that was exposed when the laptops' network cutoff switch was flicked and security settings skipped, he added some blank CMD box that appeared right after logon. That wasn't blocked.

Anyways, sorry to magmum for saying he/she was stupid. Just didn't know how exactly that CMD thing would really work. Maybe I'll try it somewhere else.

My school is pretty restricted too, but I've been able to get into the c:/ drive. Simply by double or triple clicking on Programs in the star menu then going up until you get to the root directory. And we found out that you can run batch files just by saving a notepad file as MS-DOS format with a .bat on the end, even though CMD is blocked.

Anyway, thanks for sharing how to create an administrator account! That'll become really handy!

@Tangmeister:

You might've already tried this but it works for me :D

The computers in our educational system disallows cmd and traversing to C:/, and bans you from storing or transferring .exe files or .bat files within the system and from an external source (e.g. flash disk) - instant ban :(

What I have found for running system commands is that you can go to the desktop, right click and add new shortcut. There you can type, for example ping askvg.com and call it ping or whatever. The thing is, when you double-click it, it actually runs the command in a command shell.

You could try that with magnumheart's command to make an admin :D

HTH, if not, feel free to say "tsk tsk" at me magnumheart :)

I've tried opening CMD on our local system and it doesn't work. Message in the prompt says that "Command Prompt has been disabled by your Administrator".

And besides, MS wouldn't make hacking THAT easy, right?

Anyone can change their own wallpaper, it's just whether or not the admin disables the Control Panel applet that we usually use. (Display Properties).

For example, a folder containing only pictures has a "Set as desktop background" entry in the left-hand pane in Explorer. That works.

I guess one way to check out the system's stuff is to use SmartUp or ViStart.

One thing I did after some uber-geeks including me were grilled by higher staff because of alleged unauthorized software installations, I quickly showed taht someone out of the group was installing Safari and iTunes with ViStart's All Programs capability.

And task Manager should be blocked, but this can be copied from another computer onto USB. That may assist in do what Nikolaj wants to do.

Tangmeister pardon me. ??

but have u done what i did say'

even if it's blocked the admin it can be done.

u can use the command prompt even if it's deisable.

just run a batch file containing "start" in it.

haven't u learn about hacking.

after running the batch file u can have a command prompt in ur screen.

tsk. tsk. that's why i have included the tutorial to

make an admin account using c prompt. loser. L-)

P.S. it's magnum not "magmum" Meister-Tongue :P

@Magmumheart:

You're so dumb, if you don't mind my saying so.

Of course MS thought of that and prevented it. And many admins disable Command Prompt anyways.

Nikolaj, do it at, home and follow those instructions! It's not in All Programs, it should be copied from the C:\Program Files folder.

@Nikolaj:

I have the file available for download as a .ZIP file for you. Just run the .exe with it. I think it should be coming with some Vishal themes with it.

But unfortuneatly, I'm too lazy and amatuer to learn about MediaFire and Rapidshare, so I think the best option would be to install Styler to a folder at home and then just copy and paste the folder in Program files to a USB, then uninstall (but keep the USB away from it).

Good luck with it.

P.S.. even worse, our system LETS you do install programs, then records the users who do it and knocks them dead, out of the blue.
